Iaido is beneficial to both men and women by enhancing concentration and awareness. Iaido's non-strenuous exercises build strength and flexibility and promote a sense of well being. It is a non combative art with no body contact. The challenge is to master the art of Iaido, not to compete with other students.
The student starts by using a wooden practice sword (bokken) to learn Muso Shinden Ryu Iaido. Beginning students may wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing and only need an obi belt, knee pads and a bokken to participate in class. (all equipment may be purchased at cost from the Dojo)
Observing a Class
If you are interested in studying Iaido, you are encouraged to observe a scheduled class. After the class, you may speak to Sensei Fein if you have any questions or wish to join.
