In 1994, Sensei Joel Fein established the Makoto Dojo in Sarasota FL,
where he teaches Muso Shinden Ryu Iaido, a traditional Japanese martial art.
From 1985 - 1993 he studied under the supervision of Mitsuzuka Takeshi Sensei,
with the instructors Sensei John Prough and Sensei Marty Eisenberg, at the
Japanese Swordsmanship Society, NYC (affiliated with San Shin Kai, Tokyo, Japan)
Sensei Fein also studied under Shozo Kato Sensei at the Doshikan Dojo, NYC.
Sensei Joel Fein holds the rank of Godan (5th Degree Black Belt)
in Muso Shinden Ryu Iaido.

is a member of the Independent Martial Arts Federation (IMAF) and is accepted
by them as a legitimate school teaching the universally recognized forms of
